Update!

I did actually take the car to a show this year jsut Japfest 2 but really enjoyed it and love this picture from fastcar

Japfest-2-2012-pictures-Donington-003.jpg

After Japfest I dint really do much just take keep it clean and take pictures of it looking clean

Nice reflections!

Always looks good under artificial light

After that I picked up a set of temporay / winter rims, these will be on the car over winter now and next your I will be getting the auto x's refurbed as the red lips are peeling all over and the fronts were beyond a safe limit of tread!

Test of how they would look

But first a cleanup was much needed

Luckly this stuff is magical!

8063798373_54bc3146a4_c.jpg

And turned that mess into this with very little effort!

8063798794_d3a57b3261_c.jpg

Now they can actually be fitted!

8063791357_f4939cd664_c.jpg

I did love the Auto X's so I was unsure just how these would look fitted but much to my surprise I loved these once fitted too, just fitted pics!

Still a nice reflection on the wing

Somepoint after this I bought a house which meant the Starlet got a new home tcuked inside the garage!

8063758915_9d32b37258_c.jpg

I then bought a new exhaust, Japspeed system off ebay, as much as I liked the 5Zigen system, it was blowing on every gasket and the flex, the cost of the Japspeed system £88 delivered far outweighed the cost of fizing the 5Zigen.

Being fitted

8063747391_f17a2ce629_c.jpg

All done

8063743769_b594e755e7_c.jpg

As good as it looks I hate it, its way too loud and bangs over the rear axel, bung is staying in till the system builds crap up inside and silences it a bit!

Reflection shot helps

8063740617_db4b5e7b2d_c.jpg

Then a new piece arrived! OEM lip kit completed!

8063655174_67586babe7_c.jpg

So off with its current bumper

8063731266_037e764c47_c.jpg

At this point I decided to cure the exhaust banging on the axel! Result silcenced after this

New piece fitted

After that a much needed winter seal was required so paint stripped cleaned and sealed backup for winter and a few pictures down the local industrial estate this weekend.

As much as I hate the new exhaust it does sit well with the OEM rear lip

Had a play with the ios6 panorama mode

That brings it all bang up to date!

Over the winder I am going to clean up the engine bay as it's really manky still from when I blew oil over it ages ago. The winter rims need decent tyres as they have budgets from when I got them which makes things interesting to say the least!

After the winter the Auto X's will go back on, I am still undecided on a colour but chances are I will be going white!

Thats all for now! :)

Truely a minter Dave! Glad to see youve got hold of a house with a garage! :)

As much as you hate shows, you should still make Japfest next year u girl :p

We are a good ole bunch ;)

Yes I will try and make Japfest and Japfest 2 next year!

Still looks awesome dude, looks surprisingly cool on them wheels too :)

My Buddyclub knocks on the rear axle so maybe ill get some heatwrap to stop it, thanks for that idea :)

Defo the way to sort it, I have 100% not heard another bang since.

Bumper finishes it off nicely mate

Thanks again for dropping it off.

Good to see my old car still getting loved to pieces. have changed my forum name since I couldn't seem to log in or forgot my password.

How's it treated you? Thinking about getting myself another one but not too sure if I could find one like yours!

Only just seen this dude, it's treating me spot on, not a single issue with it really, mad to think its coming up to 2 years since I made the trip to Bournemouth to pick it up! Use it daily, keep it clean and it is what it is. I don't think you will find another quite like this one, perfect all rounder in my opinion! I still keep the service records up to date that you started!

I do actually have some new alloys for it waiting to go on, just waiting on the weather to pick up so check back in a month or so and I will update this thread.
