  1. Well I've been quoted double that for my car, and there isn't really much left on my car to remove. I'd say it's a fair price to be honest. But I can't see them doing a very good job if that's the case. Body work is very labour intensive!
  2. Whip off the intercooler pipe, make sure it's not the turbo that's failed and sucking oil into the intake.
  3. 2k is not a bad price. I doubt it would have been a very good job for that price though... Glad you got out in it though!
  4. These cars tend to smoke anyhow. The compression sounds low, sure, but it's not drastically different from 130 psi. Is the car smoking loads, or is it only on overrun?
  5. It might make your life easier for uploading photos.
  6. Use Imgur bud. Or become a paid member and upload directly.
  7. Are there captive nuts on the other side of that? Where would you find them if you were to look? Say if you reckon you have totally annihilated one?
  8. Loving the attention to detail on this car. Done a really nice job. Love the colour scheme as well to be fair!
  9. Every bush on my GT has been replaced with Poly bushes and it's absolutely fine. Even no PS and I think it's fine to drive. But I know some on here can't stand it.
  10. Recommending fully polybushes? Depends how hardcore you want to be.
  11. On the GT, the switches run through the hazard switch. This threw me when I drove the car without the hazard button without the hazard switch and couldn't operate the windows. Might be something similar.
  12. JDM column in tact. I actually recently got this car on the road after 3 years of sitting on the drive. I can say that now haven driven the car, leave the powersteering in the car. It's not heavy, it's not cumbersome, it's just not as good as having powersteering. It kinda ruins the car a little bit. I wouldn't recommend deleting the powersteering, but only because the car drives so much better with it in. That said, I won't be fitting it back in any time soon. I don't drive the car enough to let it annoy me.
  13. Yeah but do you not have them domestically? Is what I'm saying...
  14. Oh yea, these cars are easy to turbo. I was just saying, it is still pretty expensive, when Impreza's must exist in your country. I was just saying how awesome it is.
  15. I just think it's mental that the little JDM car has made it all around the globe. And let us be honest, the EP85 EP95 in stock trim has much to be left desired. Or at least, that's my opinion. When you think it's cheaper and more accessible to get a DM 4WD Turbo car like Scooby or Evo. Especially for the price of these starlets. Then let us say you do want to turbo, you are looking at getting again Non-DM parts from Japan to the Caribiaan. I'd say, it's a lot of work and hats off to you!
  16. Mental, how did a 4WD Starlet end up in the caribiaan lol
  17. Starlets? Yeah there are a few that have done that.
  18. Nah, take the challenge and do it with a 4E engine. Using a 4AG is cheating, that's a tried and tested setup. You could be an innovator here :D
  19. Looks like tuning developments do them as well.
  20. Lol yeah I bet that would have been a bit of fun if it ever got finished.
  21. Keep at it bud! A lot of love going into this project for sure!
  22. Yeah I'm not sure of the compatibility of the regulator. But I can't see how that could fail.
