gonna get some hammerite and a small paint brush and tart up the PAS pump as it looks AWFUL!

and, my little gift to myself before i am broke from this house buying has arrived with Socks! hopefully it'll be with me this week!

and finally, picture if u will, a scene....phil needs a cambelt side crank oil seal, a new alternator belt and a new PAS belt...he goes to camskill and adds them to his basket...he proceeds to checkout, the price is £24, thats fine....POSTAGE IS £15.40....where the hell do i live?????? Nantucket!?!?!?!?!?!?! so, fuck that, i'll just go to a local motorfactor as the diesel will be cheaper than that postage! robbing bastards!

Looking good mate it will all come together in the end! oil leaks on the sumps on these are a real pain in the ass!! The one I am running now has been good up to now but I have had some dogs over the years. It does help to leave them to set before filling them with oil, the way I do it is to put the silicone on then put the sump up loose but making contact all the way round then tighten it up the next day doing it this way it forms like a proper seal and tightens up real good once the bolts are torqued up properly doing it this way I have never had one leak!

Nice to see some one keeping there car nearly as long as me it takes some bloody doing!!

All the best with the house too mate we have had ours 6 years this October and its the best thing we did!!

thanks Rob dude, much appreciated!!!!

the thing i am looking forward to is having a warm dry garage for the EP rather than a shed where things are rusting lol!!!!

picked up some hammerite en route home, so thats my job for tonight.

recirc bung also arrived from Micky (cheers dude)...not sure how it works exactly as its two pieces lol, was only expecting one, but we'll give it a bash!!!!!!

lol good thinking dude!!!

yeah, looking forward to giving her a new home where we can sort her out slowly and properly.

PAS pump painted in hammered black, as is the mount for the air filter.

engine casings have also been cleaned with fairy liquid to remove the oil from the leak.

all i'm waiting on right at this moment other than my gift to myself is my re-machined CJ Performance adjustable cam pulley. once thats here we can button that whole side of the engine up (provided we stop the oil leak).

thanks to alan and joel we are definitely gettin somewhere now!

well...we hope so mate!

recirc bung is very confusing, it has a hole through it. Joel has picked up a blacking plate so we'll try both and see how we get on.

Just waiting for James (CJ) to get back from holiday and send me the adjustable pulley and we're good to get cracking.

That's right bitches, I am that guy, that guy so sad he buys a gauge that tells him the opposite of his boost gauge simply because its part of the set!!!!! i am that soldier!!!! now only leaves the oil pressure gauge to find! i dunno what that spongey bollox was stuck to it, took me 20 minutes and a sore thumb but its now removed! mount arrived from ebay today too, so she's ready to be fitted!

have to say a massive thank-you to Socks for sorting this out for me. i took a notion to look on BidJDM after seeing Steve's recommendation, wasn't expecting to see anything, but within 24 hours Matt had it won for me. kept me updated with screen shots and tracking numbers, and all told it only took 3 weeks or so from Japan to me. can't say better than that!!! so thanks dude!

Is it page 100 yet?

I was thinking this, but page 99 just keeps getting longer !!

Also i agree with your own comment badger. You are defiantly sad for getting that gauge

EDIT : Congratulations Badger for getting what must be the 1st 100 page build thread on UKSC !!
