daniel_g Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Think youve been taking inspiration from the ZEP demo with the V mount. Tidy. Quote
Socks Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 Got round to cleaning up the Genuine Varis Bumper I got from Simon... Removed all the mesh, it was bent, and a right mess and im not a fan of it anyways! The brackets that braced the bumper were also rusty and seen better days, so they went too. Also im going to have to make custom ones up as the front of my car is a little different now hehe! I used a dremel and some tape to get a nice clean straight edge on the bottom inside lip ready to sit nice and flush up against the new front mount intercooler... Which left a nice sticky residue from where a number plate was mounted.... Some rubbing with some alcahol and its now clean as a whistle and goo free! Still needs a good clean and a polish n wax... But at least the hard bit is done now Quote

Keep up the good work mate, she's a real thing of beauty. Al. Thats some reply dude! Its a long and well documented read tbh. I find myself going back throuhg it sometimes too Makes me smile... Thanks for the kind words tho dude, means alot! So..... Ricky sent me some snaps earlier today, mocking where the radiator is going to sit. It is going to look smart in line with where the light support bar was. Note the space for a 3" boost pipe on the right hand side of the radiator.... Im all for cutting spool time down lol Going to be alot better then going right round the tow eye! Some of you more eagle eyed folks, may also spot the tubular bar thats now in place of the bottom beam that was there before. Still far from finished but its all going to be painted white and will look as OEM as possible when finished You wouldnt believe how thin and flimbsey the bottom beam was! Was like cheese! The radiator is going to be cut up and modified yet too, so that will change too... More updates to come folks! Quote
