Johnboy GT replied to iamlegend's topic in Off Topic
My condition was country with a big garage or plenty space to get a big garage/shed built. Ended up with all three. House is nice aswell 😅. Three bed farmhouse. Suits me perfectly John -
Agree with Daniel, if your adamant on getting an S Body then buy an S15. If I ever go back to them that's what I would do. The SR20 engine is fantastic. John

Can't beat a quattro A4 for a luxury daily. Run an 02 1.8t quattro myself. Can't fault them! John

compression test shows 150 psi over all four, rebuild time :-(
Johnboy GT replied to mikey4410's topic in Engines
I would have thought 150 across all four was pretty good although lower than new. Try a different compression tester and your leakdown test and see from there bud? John -
Fantastic looking car. Subtle and clean! John

I was actually looking at the same last night. Speaking with a biker I work with I was told that it's better to go for a carbonglass or fibreglass helmet appose to a thermo plastic helmet. Thermoplastic helmets tend to bounce if you have an accident which would hurt your neck etc. Shoei only make fibreglass/carbonglass one's also. Good to shell out for a decent helmet rather than saving cost here for obvious reasons. Cheers John

Hmm I put 1.9l? John

Adjustable RARB users: What setting do you run?
Johnboy GT replied to Amjad's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Out of curiosity when you weld or bolt in the mount to the chassis, do you have it in line with the soft medium or hard setting? Am I correct in saying soft? Cheers John -
EP91 - GlanzaV - Burwash Build TD05
Johnboy GT replied to RichWillmore's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Good progress bud! I like it! John -
Going against the general consensus here. I will be having the Starlet, my Audi and my van on the road at the same time. Van for work, Audi for me and the wife's excursions and the Starlet for my pleasure. If you can afford it go for it John

These side bars don't fit with a cage and n do they? Sure I read that somewhere previously? John

_shaun_'s forged hybrid gt28 v, wepr,zisco,dta
Johnboy GT replied to _shaun_'s topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
That sounds like a handy bit of kit. I can definetly see the need with being so light on the rear they tend to hop if you come into a corner a bit hot! I agree, craftsmanship on projects are a great thing but few and far between. If the had the machining tools etc I would be doing a lot more myself. Anything I can do, I do myself. Keep up the good work mate. John -

I like where you have gone with this Shaun! It looks good. How have you set up the brake bias? John -
Ah wasn't sure mate. Cheers! My opinion though I'd say a K20 in a Starlet would take a bit of doing but not impossible. John
