  1. Even with the stat closed you still get a small circulation of oil round the cooler to prevent the engine being folded with cold oil when the stat opens. You shouldn't have any problems how it is
  2. It will be fine how it is. Loads of oem oil coolers have the pipes at the bottom
  3. I've alway use the new bearings with clutch kits. Never had a problem
  4. You could get an alt from any 4e / 5e really. As long as the plug on the back is the same shape. With the clock and boost gauge going dim that's normal. It's so they don't dazzle you at night
  5. For the charging fault replace the alternator. Does your cigar lighter and your heater control lights and stuff like that work? They usually run off the same earth inside the car.
  6. The interior light eaths itself on one of the fixing bolts. Then the 2 wires in are both live for door and on position. And the radio should have a light grey/ white wire with a black stripe on for earth. I suspect you have fried the internal volt regulator on the altornator when you jump started the car.
  7. If it was me I would just take the cv joint off and count the splines on it. And see if it's the same as a turbo model as there is a choise of 2 I think. Save getting confused with all the part numbers lol

  9. I got them calipers off eBay yonks ago. Ran them on my old GT for ages. I think they were listed as 94 celica calipers. I get confused with all the st### numbers lol

    Leave the pcv valve in the rocker cover. Pull the hose off the valve and blank with a suitable bolt or alike.

    Try removing the pcv pipe on the front of inlet manifold. Block the nipple on the inlet manifold and leave the rocker cover valve off and go for a drive. The pcv can fail and cause boost pressure to build in the crankcase. Can cause all manor of problems with smoking and idling

  15. What a day Japfest was. Awsome turn out of cars as usual. The drive up was nice and wet! I was experiencing a lack of pressure in my clutch pedel towards the end. Behaved ok in the wye to the gate. Parked up, went to sign on for track. Then got the car and got in the que. Once on track all was going well. Car was feeling good till about half way into the session. The clutch hydrolics were loosing pressure and I could only get a pedel after a couple of pumps. Then even after a couple of pumps it wasn't pressuring and was pissing me off! That's when I decided to come on. The theriory was that th

  23. Done a few bits over the weekend mainly rocker over breathers and new intercooler and rad set up Still a few more bits to get done before fest lol
