  1. Gas welding is near enough like tig. It's just uses gas rather than electric to make the weld pool
  2. I've head of someone using a corolla rear brake upgrade but not seen evidence my self. I was going to use oem turbo front discs on the rear. But decide against it because the off set is more on the disc and the discs I'm using are a hell of a lot cheaper as well! I'm on oem hard lines to braided flexi's and I'm using GT turbo master and servo.
  3. They probably will work better than stock front brakes lol but the 4pots on there now are savage! can't wait to get rid of the oem rear discs and callipers! I won't have to worry about the callipers binding (as much) but with the new callipers it's only like £120 for a reconditioned pair. And I will have a lot better rear pad selection WIN! WIN! WIN! I was going to use the wilwood rear callipers with mechanical hand brake. But this is supposed to be the budget daily lol
  4. Double check the pistons you have got. As I defiantly know there are options
  5. Scat rods only fit wossner pistons as it's a floating gudgeon pin. Ross pistons are press in like stock rods and pauter rods
  6. Mine will be out to play next year Bonnets + wings not lacquered yet
  7. Could be a cable bending and not selecting 5th properly
  8. Went to shorty last night and grabbed some bits out of his aristo Should look ok once painted in white lol I'm sure they were black in the advert pictures lol I also grabbed a matching rear quarter plastic for the inside. So I now have a pretty much full interior
  9. Looking good. The 1e engine done me ok when I had one. When they are all set up they don't go too bad
  10. Bit different, hope it all goes to plan for you. Seen too many blown up honda engines lately :/
  11. Will look smart with the alloys on. But better still handle better. But refurbish alloys is the worst job :/
  12. Loads of gm cars have engines that are pretty much thrown together. Can cause all sorts of problems. At least the stock 4efte are part matched when being build. That's why they last so long with all the abuse they get
  13. Time to get a proper diff again to put that power down. I never thought much of the oem diffs. I like my clutch type ones tho.
  14. It could be an auto convertion? And it's using the auto tps
  15. Sounds like the idle up valve on the end of the inlet is playing up. As the idle drops when warm so that would suggest the wax stat in the throttle body is working.
  16. Arch will be getting a blast back treated and painted soon. The chassis has never been welded so I want to keep it that way. Had it nearly a year so I should start touching up the body work. The discs I'm going to use are 256x22mm so they are chunchier than stock turbo front discs lol but only 16mm larger that the stock 240mm turbo discs. The caliper pistons are 38mm compared to the 30.9 stock turbo rear caliper. Should have it all bolted on and running for next week
